Merrimack man arrested at airport on five pornography charges

JEFFREY ARRICH

MERRIMACK — A local man is being held on $30,000 cash bail on five counts of possession of child pornography.

Jeffrey M. Arrich, 42, of 38 Erik St., was arrested just after midnight Wednesday at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport .

Police opened a criminal investigation after receiving a report Monday about suspicious items at Arrich's home. After an initial investigation, police obtained a search warrant for the residence and searched it Monday night.

As a result, police said they seized multiple computers and peripheral computer equipment along with images which were later confirmed to be child pornography.

Londonderry and Merrimack police officers were waiting for Arrich at the airport when he arrived Wednesday night and arrested him.

Authorities continue to investigate and are working with members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

What's next: Arrich is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.
