Campton woman’s death labeled as ‘untimely’

CAMPTON — The death of a 30-year-old woman found Wednesday on the floor of her apartment is being called "untimely.”

Campton police and Campton-Thornton Fire and Rescue were called to 25 Vintinner Road about 5:30 p.m. in response to a 911 call that there was an unresponsive woman. On arrival, officials found the body of Kristina Mello.

Mello’s roommate, Riley Scott, called for help when he discovered that Mello was not breathing. Police do not suspect foul play, but are continuing to investigate.

An autopsy is scheduled for today by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office.
