No-so-model citizen? NH 'Hometown Hottie' finalist nabbed in drug bust

PORTSMOUTH — A runner-up in this year's Maxim magazine "Hometown Hottie" competition was among the seven people arrested in Portsmouth on Wednesday during a major sweep of a drug distribution operation in the Gosling Meadows neighborhood.

Model Persephanie Lesperance, 24, of 229 Raleigh Way, was charged with conspiracy to sell heroin and drug possession, police said.

The self-professed "life of the party," Lesperance was one of 10 finalists in the "Hometown Hottie" competition. Though she lives in Portsmouth, Lesperance is from Hampton — the town she represented in the contest.

According to her profile on Model Mayhem, Lesperance has been a model for five years. She says her hobby is dancing, including tap, jazz and ballet. She also says she has helped produce charity fashion events throughout New England.

Also arrested were: Kayla Crystal, 30, of 2 Winsor Road, of two counts of conspiracy to sell heroin, Sarah Bigelow, 33, of 4 Winsor Road, of conspiracy to sell heroin and breach of bail conditions, Patricia Jones, 42, of 5 Winsor Road, of two counts of selling heroin, Christian Kirkendol, 22, of 2 Winsor Road, of selling heroin and conspiracy to sell heroin, Tyler Townsend, 19, Somersworth, of two counts of selling crack cocaine, and Joseph Gamester, 22, New Castle, of conspiracy to sell heroin.

Police are searching for an eighth person, Chelsea Glover, 21, who is wanted on charges of selling heroin and violating probation, and police charged a ninth person, Austin Fisk, 21, of 30 Taft Road, with trespassing, all part of an ongoing investigation into drug sales in the area, police said.
