MANCHESTER — A public meeting will be held Tuesday night, Dec. 10, at 6:30 at The Yard Restaurant, 1211 S. Mammoth Road, to present and discuss the Cohas Brook Sewer Project’s Contract No. 3. The city’s Environmental Protection Division, which will manage the project, will conduct the meeting.
The overall Cohas Brook Sewer Project will provide sewer service to about 800 homes in southeast Manchester. The project’s general boundaries are east of the 93 corridor to the Auburn line and south of the Route 101 corridor to the Londonderry line. The project consists of four construction contracts totaling $25 million of work over a 10-year period. Contracts No. 1 and No. 2, which provide sewer service to the Lake Shore Road and Wellington Road areas are complete.
Contract No. 3 will begin construction in the spring; the pipeline installation will be completed by the end of 2015, and final paving will be done in the spring of 2016.
Contract No. 3 will provide sewer services to about 180 homes on and off of South Mammoth Road, Lucas Road, Bodwell Road, Cohas Avenue, Hermit Road, Pahray Lane and Sunset Pine Drive. The meeting will review the overall project and the sewer routes.
