DERRY — Police are blaming icy conditions for an accident involving a car and school bus on Route 102 on Tuesday afternoon. No one was injured in the accident that occurred near Pioneer Valley Road around 3 p.m., according to police. No charges have been filed in the accident.

The accident happened when a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Soojin Stickney of Hampton Falls collided with a First Student school bus, driven by Robin Loder, police said.

At the time of the accident, the roads were becoming icy, causing some motorists to lose control of their vehicles and skid off the road, Thomas said.

"There were cars off the road in a lot of places," Thomas said. "People were trying to leave work early, there were student drivers, so you have the wrong mix."

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there were 10 accidents reported in Derry, Thomas said.

There was one student on the bus when the accident occurred, said First Student spokesman Stephanie Creech.
