Raymond death investigated

RAYMOND — Police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old man as a possible accidental drug overdose.

Michael Mataragas, 4 Cote Circle, was not breathing when a relative found him Christmas afternoon, police said. Attempts to revive Mataragas at the scene were not successful. He was later pronounced dead by Raymond Ambulance personnel. An autopsy and toxicology screen will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.

If anyone has any information that may aid in the investigation, they are asked to contact Cpl. Kerry Pomeroy at kpomeroy@raymondnh.gov
