Holiday Hockey Tournament Roundup: BG blanks Pennsylvania team in R.I. tournament

Bishop Guertin got goals from four different players in a 4-0 defeat of LaSalle College High School of Wyndmoor, Pa., on Thursday in the first round of the Mount St. Charles Holiday Classic in Woonsocket, R.I.

John Krapian, Keith Murphy, Justin Pearson, Jordan Caito were the goal-scorers, and Griffin Scanlon had 16 saves in the shutout performance. BG outshot La Salle, 32-16.

BG faces off today the winner of Thursday night’s game between host Mount St. Charles and St. Joseph’s Collegiate of Buffalo, N.Y.

Tuscan Kitchen Holiday Tournament: At Salem, Pinkerton defeated St. Dominic’s of Auburn, Maine, 4-0, Thursday at the Icenter.

Ethan Landry, Stephen Leonard, bailey Walsh and Gio Corsetto were the Astros’ goal scorers. Ryan Christie notched two assists for Pinkerton.

Sean Hall made 25 saves for the shutout in the Pinkerton net.

The Astros will face off today against Lewiston, Maine, at 11 a.m.
