Firearm background check leads to Hooksett arrest

 (Hooksett Police Department)

HOOKSETT -- A Goffstown man trying to purchase a firearm at Shooters Outpost was arrested Saturday after his background check revealed an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear.

Police said that Michael Deasy, 41, was arrested at the store. He was released on $50 cash bail and he is scheduled to be arraigned at Concord District Court on Jan. 13, 2014.

New Hampshire State Police contacted the Hooksett Police Department when processing the background check and it showed the outstanding bench warrant.
