High School Roundup: Bergeon lifts Campbell boys past Keene

Zach Bergeon had a day to remember for the Campbell High boys' basketball team.

Bergeon, a junior, registered 25 points and seven rebounds as the Cougars from Litchfield beat Keene, 57-52, in the Zero Gravity Holiday Basketball Tournament at Keene State College.

Justin DiBenedetto and Kyle Shaw added nine points each for the Cougars, who play in Division III.

Keene, a Division I team, was led by Brad Blake's 16 points.

Campbell went 1-1 in the tourney.

Girls' basketball

Londonderry 56, Newton (Mass.) South 51: Aliza Simpson poured in 25 points as the Lancers broke a tie in the final 1:30 to take the Garden City Holiday Tournament game played at Newton (Mass.) North.

Casey Evans added nine points and nine rebounds for Londonderry, which plays Windham today at 5 p.m. back at Newton North.

Girls' hockey

Trinity-Bishop Brady 5, ConVal 0: At Concord, Ann-Margaret Discisio had a goal and an assist for Trinity-Brady in their win Saturday night in a regular-season matchup.

Stephanie Snow, Arianna Harris, Melissa Houde and Stephanie Sloane had the other goals. Colleen Earley notched two assists.

Trinity-Brady goalie Lauren Owsowitz was not called on to make a single save. ConVal goalie Lily Grisafi stopped 36 shots. Trinity-Brady is 3-1.
