College Sports Roundup: Dartmouth roughs up Div. 3 Lesley

The Dartmouth men's basketball team overwhelmed visiting Lesley, 85-47, at Leede Arena on Tuesday. All 11 available players had at least one field goal for the Big Green (7-4), which ran their winning streak to four games.

The Division III Lynx fell to 2-8 on the season in their only game against a Division I opponent this year. Branden Padgett led Lesley with 11 points in just 12 minutes of action.

Junior John Golden was perfect from the floor, knocking down all six field goal attempts with a pair of dunks for 12 points, while freshman Eli Harrison added 11 thanks to a trio of three-pointers and sophomore Connor Boehm chipped in an even 10.

Colby 66, Plymouth State 51: At Plymouth, sophomore Chris Hudnut posted a double-double with game-highs of 21 points and 12 rebounds in a New Year's Eve matinee at Foley Gymnasium.

Classmate Ryan Jann added 14 points for the visitors as the Mules (5-3) made it a triumphant return for their coach Damien Strahorn, who was Plymouth State's head coach in the 2010-11 season.

The Panthers had a balanced offensive attack with four players combining for 40 points. Freshman Curtis Arsenault (Berlin/Phillips Exeter) scored a team-high 11 points, followed by sophomore Uche Nwokeji and junior Alex Burt (Dover) with 10 each and senior Petey Skevas with nine.
