Rochester man unhurt after bullet hits forehead
ROCHESTER — A Leonard Street man avoided injuries Tuesday when a bullet entered his home and struck his forehead, according to police.
Police said the bullet was fired by Corey S. Field, 25, from the bedroom at his 16 Leonard St. home shortly before 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. It left his home and traveled across the street and through a window and bedroom wall of a home at 15 Leonard St., where it hit a 20-year-old man, whom police did not name, in the forehead.
“The victim did not sustain any injuries from the bullet strike and it is believed that the walls and windows that were struck caused the bullet to lose power,” police said in a release.
Field was charged with reckless conduct.
