Londonderry wrestlers top NH entry in Merrimack tourney

The Londonderry High wrestling team was tops among New Hampshire teams, second overall, at Saturday’s Merrimack Hall of Fame Tournament. The Lancers scored 200 points, 12 behind champ Fairfield (Conn.) Warde High.

Ten Lancers placed. First place honors went to Richard Bilodeau (195), Jon Young (152), Jean-Luc Lemieux (132) and Tyler Byrd (106).

Londonderry results

106 — Tyler Byrd (3-0): pinned Denver Dorsainvil (Westhill, Conn.), 0:19; won by decision over Tristan Stetson (Keene), 5-1; won by decision over Danial Bliss (Mount Mansfield, Vt.), 6-2.
106 — Andrew Chase (1-2): lost a major decision to Jack Price (Warde), 11-3; pinned Kendall Goodwin (Coe-Brown), 1:27; lost a decision to Tristan Stetson (Keene), 3-2.
