Love what you do
At TEDx event, Northwood School students learn: Love what you do
With about 60 people in attendance, Fersch said that TEDx is a national organization that looks to get people talking at a local level through presentations, speakers and videos.
“They are sharing their passion and ideas with us. It’s important because we should get to know what other people think, and it’s important for kids to hear that to broaden their horizons,” said eighth-grader Nicole Carter.
“Do what you love, because you’re going to be doing it for a career. I am a musician, it’s going to be a tough journey, but I love it. I know you can do the same thing, just go do it,” Pratt told the audience before playing them a song.
“My message is that even though I emigrated from Haiti when I was 13 without being able to speak English, I am now a published author. You can accomplish anything if you work hard enough at it,” Gilson said.
