NH College Roundup: SNHU men drub Pace

Elijah Bonsignore poured in 20 points, leading the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team to a 73-60 victory over Pace in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday night at the SNHU Fieldhouse in Manchester.

SNHU led 42-18 at the half. The Penmen improved to 9-6 overall, 7-5 in the league. Pace is 3-13, 1-9.
Southern Connecticut State 101, St. Anselm 91: Mike McCahey, last week’s Northeast-10 Conference player of the week, scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, but the Hawks came up short. St. Anselm dropped to 10-5 overall, 8-3 in the league. Southern Connecticut improved to 12-2 and 6-2.

Women’s basketball

Pace 59, SNHU 43: In Manchester, the Penmen trailed all the way in dropping to 5-11 overall, 3-8 in the Northeast-10. Lorreta Rocha led SNHU with nine points. Pace improved to 4-12 and 3-7.

Southern Connecticut State 89, St. Anselm 79, OT: The Owls outscored the Hawks 17-7 in the extra session to earn the win. Tori Lehr’s 21 points led St. Anselm (9-8, 5-7). Southern Connecticut is 8-8 and 4-6.
