More than 100 NH Guardsmen returning from Afghanistan

MANCHESTER — About 110 New Hampshire National Guard members are due to return to New Hampshire this week after a nine-month tour in Afghanistan, the Guard said Tuesday in a release.

The Guard will host a brief ceremony for the returning members of the 237th Military Police Company at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Army National Guard Hangar in Concord.

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., mentioned in a tweet Tuesday that Guard troops were “back on US soil today after deployment to Afghanistan.”
