Man pleads guilty to firing shots at Manchester officer

MANCHESTER - Garrett Gauthier pleaded guilty to all charges stemming from an incident April 12, 2013 in which he fired a gun at Manchester Police Officer Aaron Brown. The officer was not hit. Brown had been pursuing Gauthier after a motor vehicle stop, when Gauthier, who was carrying three guns, drugs and a large amount of cash, fled.

He will be sentenced in 45 days. Gauthier entered a capped plea. The Hillsborough County Attorney Patricia LaFrance proposed a 20- to 80-year sentence on the attempted murder plea, with a floor of 15 to 40 years.
