Ayotte says immigration system fix is a challenge
About 40 area residents came to listen to Ayotte and ask her questions during an hour-long town hall meeting at American Legion Post 69.
“I think she had a very good feel of the issues,” Scott said, adding he was impressed by the amount of information she provided — especially through her charts and figures on federal spending and deficits.
Ayotte said she believed the country must secure the borders, close tax loop holes and address illegal immigration to help fix the “broken immigration system.”
She also provided a breakdown of the nation’s $17 trillion debt, which could rise to $25 trillion “if we continue on the trajectory we are on.”
