ROCHESTER – Police are looking to identify the driver involved in an accident on Hansonville Road that injured a local driver Sunday night.
Emergency personnel responded at 6:15 p.m. after a southbound Ford Focus, driven by Nicholas Boston, 26, of Rochester, swerved off Hansonville Road near the intersection of Gear Road to avoid an oncoming vehicle that crossed the center line, police said.
The Focus slid down a snowy embankment and overturned. Boston, who was wearing his seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, according to police.
Police said a witness described the other vehicle as red.
It is unclear why the other vehicle crossed the center line or why it did not stop following the accident, according to Police Sgt. Eric Babine.
"We would love information about the other driver," Babine said.
