NASHUA — Staying independent as long as possible is a goal for most adults.

As individuals age, remaining at homes becomes more difficult, and assistance with certain activities is often needed. Many resources exist to provide a variety of in-home care services.

How to locate these services and determine which type of care is best for your family’s situation is the subject of the February Seniors Count-Nashua workshop.

Offering information on the types of care available, who provides these services and the questions you should ask a potential care provider will be workshop presenters Lynn Eaton of ServiceLink and Bruce Angus from the Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services.

The workshop is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 10 at the Nashua Senior Activity Center, 70 Temple St.

Advance registration for the workshop is requested. Please call Beth Todgham, Seniors Count-Nashua facilitator for Southern New Hampshire Services at 889-3440, ext. 132 for more information.

In case of bad weather, the Senior Activity Center follows the Nashua schools closing schedule. The workshop will be rescheduled if schools are closed or there is a delayed opening on Feb. 10.

Seniors Count-Nashua is a program of Southern New Hampshire Services.

Workshop participants can come early to enjoy lunch offered by St. Joseph Community Services (Meals on Wheels) in the cafeteria at the Nashua Senior Activity Center.
