Men’s hockey results posted in Manchester 40-plus league

In recent play in the Manchester 40-plus men’s hockey league, Billy’s Sports Bar defeated Atlas Precision Metals 5-1 and Complete Team Outfitters knocked off Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium 6-5.

Don Garter (two goals, two assists), Dave Villenueve (two goals), Ritchie Phillipon (three assists) and Norm Roy (two assists) led Billy’s. Bill Stratton got APM’s lone goal. Joe Demers had the win in goal for Billy’s, making 25 saves.

Rocky Desrosiers had 23 saves for Atlas.

For CTO, Mike Berube, brothers Eric and Roger Lajuenesse, team captain Eric Grant, Doug Martin and Steve Yabroudy scored goals for CTO. Phaneuf got goals from Kevin Ahern, Scott Greenwood, Mike Van Alden and Mike Bayer. Gerry Bergeron made 27 saves win the win for CTO. Jon Komarek stopped 28 for Phaneuf.

Leclerc State Farm defeated CTO 2-1. Leclerc got goals from Ron Lavoie and Butch Greenwood en route to the victory. Artie Drew had the lone goal for CTO. Larry Dunn played splendidly for Leclerc, registering 25 saves for the win. Gerry Bergeron had 18 for CTO.



In the nightcap, Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium blasted Billy’s Sports Bar & Grill 10-4. Phaneuf captain Steve Meisel paced his team’s offense with four goals and a pair of assists. He became the 20th player in the league’s 15-year history to score four goals in a game. Jeb Sayer tallied twice and Phaneuf got singletons from Bob Bechard, Jim Bartels, Roland Ducharme and Mike Gibeault. Scoring for Billy’s were Ken Roberge, Bruce Sommer, Ken Laivee and Dave Villeneuve. Jon Komarek had 27 saves for Phaneuf; Scott Greer faced 44 shots in the Billy’s goal.
