Mass. man arrested for assaulting Mason police chief
MASON — A Massachusetts man is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges he assaulted Mason Police Chief Barry Hutchins last week during a motor vehicle stop.
An arrest warrant was issued for Russell Monbleau, 39, of Milk Street in Fitchburg, Mass. Law enforcement in Fitchburg took him into custody.
Monbleau waived extradition Tuesday and was returned to New Hampshire, where he was booked in Mason and taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Merrimack District Court.
