Farmington police looking for driver involved in hit-and-run

FARMINGTON — Police are looking to identify the driver who fled after injuring another driver along Route 153 Saturday evening.

Police, firefighters and emergency personnel responded around 8:15 p.m. after the accident occurred along Route 153. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a car with substantial damage and a driver who sustained non-life threatening injuries who was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Based on reports from witnesses, investigators are looking for a Chevy 1500 pickup from 2000 to 2007 which is “either tan, gold or silver in color.” The truck sustained damage on its driver’s side and had a flat tire as a result of the accident, according to police.

It was last seen driving through the area of Central Street heading toward Route 11, according to police.
