Lowell man, 23, dies in fiery Nashua crash
NASHUA — A Massachusetts man died in a fiery crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike early Saturday morning, authorities said.
Yan O. Denysenko, 23, of Lowell, was pronounced dead at the scene "based on injuries sustained as a result of the crash," the state police said in a statement.
Police said speed was a "contributing factor" in the crash based on witness statements and roadway evidence, authorities said.
A state trooper and a Nashua police officer removed the man from the fully engulfed 2001 Ford hatchback in the high-speed lane between Exits 5 and 6 around 4:15 a.m.
Traffic was temporarily delayed in the area for about two hours while authorities investigated, police said.
Denysenko was driving alone.
