Bedford selects new town manager
BEDFORD — The town council has chosen Stephen J. Daly to serve as the new town manager.
Daly takes over the position vacated by former Town Manager Jessie Levine, who left Bedford in January to work as the Sullivan County manager. Daly begins his new job in early March. He will receive an annual salary of $124,000, and was chosen out of a pool of five candidates interviewed by the council.
Bandazian said Daly’s accomplishments at MAPC include development of a state-wide collective procurement program that has grown to serve more than 700 local, county and state government agencies and universities in five New England states with annual sales in excess of $50 million. He also directed MAPC’s Joint Services Program projects that have produced health service delivery models, consolidated 911 call centers, and an ongoing project to merge the fire departments of two adjoining communities.
