Londonderry's Baldasaro won't seek Senate seat
LONDONDERRY — Rep. Alfred 'Al' Baldasaro, R-Londonderry, said Wednesday he will not run for the U.S. Senate.
“It was a tough decision, honestly,” the four-term state legislator said. “With veteran issues and Second Amendment rights at the forefront, it really got me going. If I had the money to compete, I would be there in a heartbeat.”
Baldasaro said it would also be difficult to walk away from his chairmanship of the New Hampshire House Republican Alliance and membership on the State-Federal Relations and Veteran Affairs Committee.
"Personally, she is a good person, but I just don't think her politics are good for New Hampshire," he said. "I could definitely see myself in the future running for higher office."
