4 arrested in connection with Strafford County burglaries

SOMERSWORTH — Police arrested four men in connection with a string of Strafford County burglaries, four in Somersworth in the last two weeks.

Police executed search and arrest warrants Wednesday at 15 Brook Drive and 2 Mason Lane. Seized were jewelry, gaming systems, two safes, drug paraphernalia, a small amount of heroin and various other items. Police said a number of these items have been identified as property stolen during burglaries, including a Wii System taken earlier in the day during a burglary in Somersworth.

John D. Defalco, 2 Mason Lane, 33, was charged with two counts of receiving stolen property. He was arraigned Thursday and is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections on $5,000 cash bail. He is due in Dover District Court Feb. 19.

Charged with one count of theft was Randall Goslin, 47, of 15 Brook Drive. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance and is to be arraigned Feb. 27 in Dover.

Two others were arrested at 15 Brook Drive: James M. Lavoice, 23, of 9 Brook Drive, and Richard Folger, 28, of 15 Brook Drive.

Lavoice was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug, Percocet. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 27. Folger was released on a summons and is to be arraigned March 6.

More charges are expected, police said.

Victims of burglaries in the last two months in the Strafford County area are encouraged to call Detective John Sunderland at the Somersworth Police Department.
