Merrimack high school student sexually assaulted at home

GARY CRANE

MERRIMACK — An Amherst man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a Merrimack High School student.

Gary Crane, 21, of 20 The Flume, has been charged with one count of felonious sexual assault for the incident earlier this week.

Police say they were notified by high school officials, as well as a school resource officer, about a 15-year-old student being sexually assaulted on Monday at the teen's home.

"Police do anticipate additional charges as they continue their investigation," said a release.

Crane is being held on $50,000 cash bail, and he is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division.
