Boys’ Hockey

Spaulding at Windham-Pelham at ICEnter, 8 p.m.

Andrew Putney’s power-play goal 27 seconds into overtime lifted Manchester Memorial to a 2-1 Division I ice hockey win over Nashua North Thursday at JFK Coliseum in Manchester. Memorial (6-3-2) was led by goalie Aaron Schrum, who had 20 saves. Jake Genest of Nashua North (7-5) finished with 29 saves.

North took a 1-0 second-period lead on a goal by Jon Searles, assisted by Tim Paige and Tyler Searles. Bryce Jacob tied the game in the third period on a short-handed tally. Putney had the assist.

Jacob and Kyle Chalifoux each had an assist on Putney’s game-winning goal. Memorial will host St. Thomas Aquinas (9-2-1) in a rematch of last year’s semifinal playoff contest Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at JFK Coliseum.




Concord 5, Manchester Central 3: In Concord, Matt Norris and Connor Beatty each scored two goals to lead the Crimson Tide. Bradley Murphy had the other goal for Concord. Adam Godbout assisted on all five goals. Beatty had three assists and Norris had two. Concord goalie Ben Nelson had 24 saves.

Central got goals from Devon Sprague, Ross Lougee and Noah Duplessis. Ian Beliveau turned back 20 shots in net for Central (6-5). Concord is 4-8.

Boys’ basketball

Londonderry 62, Exeter 56: In Londonderry, Cody Ball tallied 21 points including five three-point shots for the 10-2 Lancers. Exeter (5-7) tied the game at 56-56, but two free throws from Caleb Green, two more from Mark Corey plus a steal and a lay-up closed out the game for the Lancers. Drew Coveney had 14 points for the winners and Jake Coleman added nine. Londonderry resumes play Tuesday at Pinkerton at 7:30 p.m.
