Williams, Gardella join Monadnock United Way board
KEENE - Monadnock United Way announced the addition of Terrence L. Williams (Terry) and Katie Gardella to its board of directors at its annual meeting held on Feb. 6 at Kristin's Bistro & Bakery in Keene.
Williams is currently president and chief operating officer at Keene Publishing Corp, with responsibilities for the company's strategic planning; advertising, online and circulation sales; website and digital media; and new product development.
Prior to joining the Sentinel, Williams was president and publisher of the Nashua Telegraph based in Hudson. He also held roles as assistant metro editor and managing editor at The Telegraph, where his career spanned nearly 25 years. He also oversaw McLean Communications Inc., owners of New Hampshire Magazine, New Hampshire Home, Parenting New Hampshire and New Hampshire Business Review.
He lives in Amherst, with his wife Julie, a teacher and tutor. They have two grown children, Christopher of Portland, Maine, and Heather of Windsor, Conn.
Gardella is founder of Prosper Fundraising Strategies, a full-service consulting firm specializing in major gifts, board and staff development, and development planning.
For more than 25 years, Gardella has dedicated her career to helping nonprofit organizations build capacity, train volunteers, and raise resources to fulfill their missions for the betterment of their communities.
A native of Michigan, Katie received a B.A. in history from Michigan State University. She started her nonprofit career in Washington, D.C., working for the Washington National Cathedral and the National Parks Conservation Association. She then spent several years in Seattle, working for the Tacoma Art Museum and KPLU, a local public radio station. She moved to the Monadnock Region in 2003 and resides in Jaffrey.
Boston Therapeutics hires three executives
MANCHESTER - Boston Therapeutics Inc. (OTCQB: BTHE) a developer of drugs that address diabetes using complex carbohydrate chemistry, has appointed Edward Shea as vice president business development, Tina M. Gagnon as consulting director of finance, and Yael T. Bobruff, Ph.D. as clinical affairs manager, effective immediately.
Shea brings 25 years of biopharmaceutical experience in commercial development, marketing and sales, having most recently served as senior eastern area sales director at ViroPharma Inc. Her experience includes more than 15 years of business development, marketing and sales leadership positions with GlaxoSmithKline and Salix Pharmaceuticals, as well as business development experience with two startup biopharmaceutical companies, ViroPharma and Critical Therapeutics. Gagnon has more than 20 years of experience in finance. Most recently she served as corporate controller at Micronetics Inc. (NASDAQ: NOIZ), where she oversaw a staff responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory management and other activities. Prior to this, she was Controller at Amherst Technologies, LLC; Assistant Controller of Fruit of the Loom's Sports & Licensing Division; and Senior Corporate Auditor at Standex International Corp. Bobruff was most recently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard University Medical School in Boston, where she studied the genetic processes and mechanisms contributing to the evolution of host-pathogen interactions.
Competitive Energy Services promotes, adds executives
