Dover declares downtown parking ban on Wednesday

DOVER — The city has enacted a emergency parking ban from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Parking Manager Bill Simons said drivers can park in all city lots, with the exception of the row closest to residences along School Street.

A map of the area included in the Emergency Parking Ban can be found at dover.nh.gov/policepdf/DnTnSnowEmergencyMap.pdf.

Any vehicle parked in the downtown during the ban is subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

The city plans to remove snow banks to make room for new snow that is expected. Simons said snow removal crews prefer to have the streets completely empty during the process.
