Allenstown: Meeting tonight

ALLENSTOWN — School Board member Andrea Martel said the district will be forced to cut drastically in terms of essential staff and programs if voters support an amended budget at the polls March 11.

The Allenstown School District operating budget was cut from $9,756,468 to $8,780,000 at the district’s deliberative session Feb. 1.

On Monday night, several dozen Allenstown parents and school faculty members gathered to discuss the likely cuts. They’ll reconvene at the Allenstown School Board meeting tonight as board members accept community input.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. in the library at Allenstown Elementary School.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
