College Sports Roundup: UNH women’s hoops wins

Junior guard Ariel Gaston scored a career-high 19 points and added five steals to lift the University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team past host Binghamton (N.Y.) University, 64-46, at the Events Center Wednesday.

UNH is 15-9 overall and 9-2 in America East.

Sophomore guard Elizabeth Belanger added 16 points and junior forward Kaylee Kilpatrick had 14 points and nine rebounds.

Men’s basketball

Binghamton 72, UNH 71 (OT): In Durham, Jordan Reed’s free throw with two seconds left in overtime lifted Binghamton (6-19) over UNH (6-18). Dan Dion’s three-pointer with 19 seconds left in the extra frame tied the game at 71 for the Wildcats. Jordon Bronner had 19 points for UNH.




Daniel Webster 77, Lesley 69: At Nashua, Daniel Webster clinched a postseason berth for the eighth straight season, led by a season-high 27 points from Daris Cosby.

Kevin Perez, of Nashua, had 16 points while Ray Farmer, of Nashua, notched 13 with a team-best seven rebounds and game-high of six assists. Ryan Gauthier, of Nashua, tallied 11 points with four assists.
