Private aircraft reports icing, lands safely at MHT

MANCHESTER - A private aircraft that initially reported ice on its wings landed safely at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport on Thursday, deputy director J. Brian O'Neill said.

O'Neill said the plane, which had two passengers and was heading from Newfoundland in Canada to Albany, N.Y., had requested an emergency landing at the airport after its pilot believed ice was building on the plane.

It landed safely without incident, O'Neill said.
