Parking ban in effect in Somersworth through Valentine’s Day

SOMERSWORTH – Although the downtown business district is temporarily exempt, the city will be towing vehicles parked along streets during the storm.

After the city declared a snow emergency, which began Thursday morning, no vehicles may be parked along roadways, with the exception of the downtown area until from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.

"Any vehicles observed parked during the snow emergency will be ticketed and towed," according to a release by the city.

For more information about parking options, contact Jennifer Nalley at Public Works, at 692-4266 or email Jennifer at jnalley@somersworth.com.
