Northwood candidates’ night set for Wednesday

NORTHWOOD — While there are only two contested races for municipal offices, residents have a chance to get to know all candidates Wednesday.

Moderator Hal Kreider, who is seeking another term, will oversee candidates night, which is scheduled to begin Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall. All candidates will be able to make a statement before fielding questions from the public.

Joseph McCaffrey, Richard Bojko and incumbent Lucy Edwards are all seeking two three-year spots on the Planning Board.

Albert Peel is challenging John Schlang, who is seeking re-election for a three-year term on the Police Commission.

All of the other candidates for municipal positions are running in uncontested races.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
