Junior Ethan Landry scored three times and assisted on another goal to lead Pinkerton Academy of Derry to a 7-4 Division I ice hockey win over Concord Thursday at the Ice Den in Hooksett.

Gio Corsetto scored two shorthanded goals for the Astros. Landry tallied two first-period goals and Corsetto (two assists) added one for a 3-0 lead after one frame. Pinkerton (5-7-2) made it 4-0 just 54 seconds into the middle period on a power-play goal from Bailey Walsh. Concord (6-10) answered with tallies from Connor Beatty (two assists) and Tim Weinhold.

Pinkerton surged ahead 6-2 on goals from Landry and Ryan Monte before Concord closed the period with a score from Bradley Murphy. Mike Shea scored Concord’s last goal with 11:14 remaining in the game.

Pinkerton goalie Brendan Murphy had 22 saves. Ben Nelson and Jesse Bedard shared time in nets for Concord.




Nashua South 3, Manchester Memorial 1: In a shocker Nashua South (2-11-2) defeated defending Division I state champion Memorial (7-5-3) at JFK Coliseum. The Panthers were led by Steve Saucier with a goal and an assist. Owen McNulty had two assists and Jacob Galgay added one goal and one assist. South goalie A.J. Bender registered 43 saves. Memorial dropped to 7-5-3.

Boys’ basketball

Central 90, Nashua North 56: In Nashua, Brett Hanson scored 23 points and Joey Martin added 22 for the 16-0 Little Green. Jon Martin added 13 points and Dawson Dickson netted three 3-point shots. Ricky Constant scored 12 points for 4-11 Nashua North.

Central plays its last regular-season home game tonight at 6:30 p.m. against Winnacunnet of Hampton.




Windham 66, Oyster River 41: In Windham, junior Dave Carbonello netted 18 points and added four steals and three assists for the 9-6 Jaguars. Senior Tucker Lippold added 16 points and teammate Davis Potter netted 10 points and eight rebounds. Senior Andrew Lowman contributed 12 rebounds and three steals.
