Speed blamed for single car crash that left 1 hurt in North Walpole
NORTH WALPOLE - A local man was injured Saturday when he was thrown from his car as it flipped over several times, said police Sgt. Joel Huntley.
John E. Robinson, 43, was heading north on Route 12 near the Charlestown town line shortly before 4 p.m. when he lost control of his car and hit and rolled over an embankment, Huntley said. The car flipped over five times, throwing Robinson out of the vehicle, and came to rest on its wheels on nearby railroad tracks, he said.
Robinson was taken to Springfield (Vt.) Hospital for treatment of back and neck injuries, Huntley said "speed is definitely a contributing factor" and that Robinson may be charged.
