Two taken to hospital after car, bus mishap

MANCHESTER - A car slid into a parked city bus Saturday, sending both drivers to the hospital, police said.

The accident happened at the intersection of Elm and Harrison streets around 10 a.m.

A car slid on the ice and struck a Manchester Transit Authority bus stopped at a stop sign on Harrison Street, according to police Lt. Todd Boucher.

Kyle Giddings, 21, of Hooksett, complained of head and neck injuries while the bus driver, Brenda Mule, 50, of Manchester, complained of neck and back injuries, he said.

Both were taken to Elliot Hospital, he said.

The bus had one passenger, who wasn't injured.
