Mossey chairs NH Made board
EPPING — Kristine Mossey of Milford was named the new board chair of New Hampshire Made at the organization's annual meeting in January. Since 1995, Mossey, a third-generation apple grower, has managed her family's farm, McLeod Bros. Orchards, which has been in business more than 60 years.
For the past six years, Mossey has been actively promoting New Hampshire's farmers' markets and educating the public on the importance of local agriculture in her roles as the former president of the NH Farmers' Market Association and currently as secretary of New Hampshire Agriculture in the Classroom.
Since 2009, Mossey has been an active member of NH Made's board, representing state agencies, agriculture and business support organizations, small business owners and corporate supporters.

Plymouth Village, Pittsfield plants honored for excellence
The Plymouth Village and Pittsfield wastewater plants were each recently selected by the EPA for a 2013 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Excellence Award, the only two facilities in New England acknowledged for exemplary performance during 2013.
The Plymouth Village Wastewater Treatment Plant staff, led by Superintendent Kirk Young; and the Pittsfield Wastewater Treatment Plant staff, led by Superintendent Ron Vien; were recognized by the EPA's New England Office for exceptional work in operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment plants, according to information issued by the EPA's New England Regional Office in Boston.
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services was instrumental in nominating the facilities, the EPA said.
Weinstock joins Thomas Brady & Assoc.
BOSTON — Thomas Brady & Associates has named Amiel Z. Weinstock as its general counsel. Weinstock joined Thomas Brady & Associates to help expand the depth of estate and business planning services provided to clients and their advisors. The firm is currently working with several New Hampshire clients and has formed strategic relationships in New Hampshire.
An estate planning and tax attorney by training, Weinstock most recently served as counsel at Nixon Peabody in Boston for three years and prior to that was an associate at K&L Gates in Boston for seven years. He has lectured on a variety of estate planning topics, including the gift tax, life insurance, sales to defective grantor trusts, gifts to GRATs, family limited partnerships and intra-family loans.
Rochester plant operator honored
David Green, chief operator of the Rochester Wastewater Treatment Plant, was honored by the EPA with a "2013 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Excellence Award."
Green was selected for the recognition because of the outstanding job he has performed over the years in operating and maintaining the Rochester facility, the EPA said.
The EPA Regional Wastewater Awards Program recognizes personnel in the wastewater field who have provided important public service managing and operating wastewater treatment facilities throughout New England. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services was instrumental in Green's nomination, the EPA said.
Group welcomes new Realtors
BEDFORD — Fourteen new Realtors were recognized at an induction ceremony that took place recently at the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of Realtors office.
"The 14 inductees have taken the pledge to abide by the Realtor Code of Ethics and to protect the American dream — homeownership," said GMNBR President Theresa Grella.
