Americans for Prosperity-NH launches big TV ad buy, targets Shea-Porter, Kuster on Obamacare

MANCHESTER — The conservative advocacy group Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire today will launch a more than $500,000 television advertising effort focusing on Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Ann Kuster's support for the Affordable Care Act.

The ads will be aired on statewide broadcast and cable television stations and follow AFP's expenditure of $1.1 million last month on advertising focusing on Kuster and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.

The new ads have what AFP calls "personal stories" of two Granite State women "who have lost their health insurance and hold Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Ann Kuster responsible for their support of ObamaCare."

"These are real New Hampshire residents who have real stories about how ObamaCare has undercut their ability to keep high-quality health care and has instead left them with higher costs, less access to care and tremendous uncertainty of their future," said Greg Moore, AFP-NH state director.
"Unfortunately, these are stories that are shared by thousands of New Hampshire citizens, who were told they could keep their care, and then were left dealing with the reality of the 'Lie of the Year.' For many, that means higher prescription costs, losing access to their doctors and hospitals and being forced into poorly run ObamaCare exchanges."

Moore said Shea-Porter and Kuster "refuse to acknowledge that ObamaCare is a debacle and hurting our residents."
According to AFP, the ads feature Helen DePrima of Bedford and Donna Marzullo of Deering, who, AFP said, had their policies terminated due to ObamaCare.

Moore said the ad buy is "considerably more than" $500,000.
