Concord police say woman's sudden death is ‘drug-related’

A search warrant has been issued for detectives to search the residence at 32 N. Spring St. after the woman was found unresponsive by police.

Police were called to the residence by firefighters who were trying to revive the woman, an effort that failed. Detectives said that "initial observations" led to the belief that drugs were involved in the woman's death.

The victim's name has not been released. Concord police have asked anyone with information about the death to call them at 225-8600 or through the Concord Regional Crimeline, 226-3100.
