Police say two men using credit card stolen from soldier headed to Afghanistan

HUDSON — Local police are searching for two men believed to have stolen a wallet from an active-duty soldier.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, Hudson police responded to a report of an unauthorized use of a credit card at the Hudson Walmart.

According to Master Patrol Officer Thomas Scotti, police later learned the credit card had been inside a wallet that had been reported stolen earlier this week while the wallet's owner was at the Nashua YMCA.

The wallet's owner, who wasn't identified, is currently on leave but will soon be deployed to Afghanistan, police said.

Scotti said the wallet contained cash and several forms of identification as well as the single credit card that had been used at the Lowell Road Walmart.

Subsequent investigations revealed the stolen credit card had also been used at several Nashua business establishments.

Surveillance photographs from Walmart and other nearby locations revealed the two yet-to-be identified male suspects, both of them appearing to be in their late teens or early twenties and wearing dark-colored jackets and baseball caps.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Scotti at 886-6011 or tscotti@hudsonnh.gov.
