EXETER — Friends of Gov. Maggie Hassan are throwing her a birthday bash at Exeter Town Hall tonight, but skip the gifts.
The celebration to mark the Exeter Democrat’s 56th birthday will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature music, art activities for kids, and refreshments.
The party is being paid for by Friends of Maggie Hassan, who have asked guests to consider making a $20 donation to Cross Roads House, a Portsmouth homeless shelter, instead of bringing a present.
Music and dance performances will be provided by Arts in Reach, Phillips Exeter Academy Concert Choir and Sandpipers Seacoast Children’s Chorus.
The event is sponsored by Water Street Bookstore with contributions from Annabelle’s Ice Cream, the Green Bean restaurant, Seacoast School of Technology Culinary Arts and Squamscot Soda.
