Second cat found in foreclosed Raymond home

RAYMOND — A second cat has been rescued after being found in a foreclosed home, police said.

Members of Animal Allies and Critter Control were able to locate the second cat around 12:10 p.m. Tuesday.
The desperate search for two cats inside the residence intensified last weekend when Raymond police officers and firefighters used a thermal-imaging camera to try to find the animals left behind when the property was foreclosed and abandoned in January.
One of the cats was found hiding behind a bookcase Saturday.
The second cat eluded capture until today.
According to police, the prior owner of the foreclosed home told them that she was unable to find the cats. Officers and volunteers visited the property on different occasions to hunt for the animals, but they were unsuccessful. Traps were also set inside and outside the residence.
