Chichester woman charged with theft


Concord police charged a Chichester woman with stealing more than $4,600 from the East Concord Cooperative Preschool between December 2008 and July 2011.

Jennifer Hawkins, 41, faces one felony count of theft by unauthorized taking and a misdemeanor charge of tampering with a public or private record, according to a court officials.

Hawkins, the school’s former treasurer, turned herself in to Concord police Feb. 19. She is free on $10,000 personal recognizance bail pending an April 7 arraignment in 6th Circuit Court District Division in Concord.
