Ham radio introduction and class

MANCHESTER - An introduction to amateur radio, or Ham Radio, will be offered Saturday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Manchester Red Cross Blood Center, 425 Reservoir Ave.
Before anyone can transmit, they must receive a license from the Federal Communications Commission. Knowledge of Morse Code is no longer required.
The April 12 class will provide training for the first license level. Students can continue upgrading with a course on the next day.
The class is open to everyone but early enrollment is required.
