‘Bow Wow Bedford’ to offer micro-chipping, rabies shots

T-Bones Great American Eatery, the town of Bedford and the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire are once again hosting “Bow Wow Bedford.”

Focusing on the importance of proper identification for your pet, as well as providing a low-cost rabies clinic, the annual event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 12 at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire at 545 Route 101 in Bedford.

The event also includes annual dog licensing with the towns of Bedford, Goffstown and Mont Vernon. There will also be staff and veterinarians from the Daniel Webster Animal Hospital on hand that day for a rabies clinic.

Micro-chipping is available by appointment from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Micro-chipping costs will be $20 per dog, or $15 for Bedford, Goffstown, and Mont Vernon residents. The fee will include registration as well as micro-chipping. Appointments are required.

Rabies vaccines will be $10 each. A one-year vaccine will be issued unless owners bring in proof of a current rabies vaccine, which will allow for a three-year vaccine to be provided. The rabies clinic is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is walk-in only.

T Bones Great American Eatery will be selling food at the event.

All dogs should be on lead and cats waiting for their vaccine should be in a crate. For more information or to make an appointment for a microchip, call Maureen Prendergast at (603) 471-0888.
