Cryans defeats Kenney, race for selectman in Whitefield


WHITEFIELD – Whitefield voters supported Democrat Michael Cryans for executive council over Republican Joseph Kenney, but it was close, 227 for Cryans to 211 for Kenney.

Residents had two races on their town ballot this year. Mark Lufkin won the race for selectman over Joseph Elgosin, 339 to 99.

Lucy Weeks and Marion Dunham won the two seats available for library trustee with votes of 337 and 228 respectively. Linda Sawicki received 105 votes.

There were no other races on the town ballot.
