BRISTOL – Richard Alpers was elected to the Board of Selectmen in voting on Tuesday, while incumbent Selectman Shaun Lagueux kept his seat with a winning margin of five votes.
In the race for two selectmen seats, Richard Alpers was first with 335 votes.
Lagueux, who had 324 votes, survived a tough challenge from Paul Manganiello, who had 319 votes. Andrew O'Hara, Jr. had 274 votes.
