SCORE is presenting a new workshop, “Grow Your Business with Email and Social Media,” to present practical advice on building revenues by strengthening customer relationships.
The workshop is scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 25 at UNH Manchester, 400 Commercial St.
The Merrimack Valley Chapter of SCORE, which provides counseling to more than a thousand entrepreneurs every year, says it has found that although most small businesses recognize the importance of Internet marketing and social media to increase sales, many lack a coherent strategy.
With help from SCORE members, Melissa Albano-Davis, president of Grapevine Marketing (grapevinemktg.com), will teach attendees how to deepen their relationships with their customers and turn their loyalty into repeat business and referrals.
“You’ll learn how to use email and social media to communicate with many people at once, at the click of a button, so they always think of you first,” said Albano-Davis, an authorized local expert on Constant Contact.
Among the topics to be covered are:
• How to build your audience through list-building and fan-building techniques
• What types of content attract the most attention
• How to create campaigns and calls-to-action people act on
• What types of reporting and analytics matter to your business
• How to integrate it all into one simple strategy
“We at SCORE have found that while many small businesses are going online to market themselves, they really don’t have an understanding of how it’s all integrated,” said Dick Demaine, SCORE workshop chair. “As a result, their efforts are less effective than they can be, and often more costly than they need be.”
It’s an interactive workshop, with time set aside for questions. For more information or to register, go to MerrimackValley.score.org or call the SCORE office at 666-7561. A $25 donation is requested, payable on the website or at the door.
